Dr Timothy Eviston MBBS (Hons) B Sc (Med)
Tim is passionate about facial nerve disorders and head and neck surgery. As an NHMRC postgraduate scholar, Tim is pursuing the translational application of advanced neurophysiology techniques to facial nerve disorders under the supervision of some of Australia's leading clinical neurophysiology and neuroscience experts at UNSW.
Tim graduated medicine at UNSW in 2008 with 1st class honours and the Ian Webster Medal (awarded to the highest ranking student in Sydney South-West). After completing his internship and residency at Prince of Wales Hospital, Tim commenced his General Surgery training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. It was during this time, under the mentorship of Bruce Ashford and Jonathan Clark, that Tim developed his interest in Head and Neck surgery, the facial nerve and facial reanimation.
Tim has presented internationally and published in high-impact journals on nerve injury and translational neuroscience.
